Study Abroad
Studying abroad had always been a dream of mine throughout college. In the summer of 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Greece and Turkey to study marketing. For about a week, we sailed through the Greek islands, waking up to a new island almost every day. After that, we stayed in a hotel in Bodrum, Turkey, for the remainder of our trip. This was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my college journey. Below is a snapshot of some of my favorite excursions!
Tilos, Greece
Tilos is a hidden gem in the Dodecanese islands, known for its unspoiled beauty, rich history, and welcoming locals. The population in Tilos is only 746 people, and it is a very peaceful and tranquil island. During our time in Tilos, we were greeted with a welcome party hosted by the community, where they shared their organic honey, local licorice, and a handmade gift with us. We then went to one of the most famous restaurants on the island, where we ate goat and dolma.
Kiliç Seafood
Kiliç Seafood is a seafood production company that uses advanced aqua farming techniques to eventually export their products to other businesses. It is known for its commitment to sustainable aquaculture and high-quality fish production. Based in Bodrum, the company specializes in farming and exporting a variety of seafood, including sea bream, sea bass, and trout. During my visit, I gained insight into their innovative farming practices and the importance of responsible seafood production in the global market. It was an eye-opening experience that deepened my appreciation for the industry.
Bodrum Maxx Royal
Maxx Royal Bodrum is a luxurious resort on Turkey’s stunning Aegean coast, offering world-class amenities, breathtaking views, and exceptional hospitality. Known for its elegant design, gourmet dining, and private beachfront, the resort perfectly blends relaxation and sophistication. This was eye-opening because it really showed me what top-tier luxury is all about. From the moment we arrived, everything was designed to make us feel special, and the attention to detail was amazing. The peaceful atmosphere and impeccable service made it clear why it's such a sought-after destination. It was a reminder of how much of a difference it makes when every little detail is taken care of, turning a simple getaway into something truly unforgettable.
